Lu Mengya is a lecturer in the Department of French, Shandong University. She obtained her Ph. D. in Chinese Folk Literature at the Institute of Confucianism, Shandong University. Her thesis is entitled Marcel Granet's Study of the Shijing. Her research interests include the spread and reception of traditional Chinese culture and literature in France, the influence of modern European scholarship on modern China, and the history of French Sinology, particularly in terms of studies of folk literature, legends, ancient history by the French missionary and scholar. She has published in the past five years more than ten academic articles or translations in these fields, some of them were published by CSSCI academic journals or reprinted by Chinese Social Science Digest. She has participated in several research projects and is presiding one project funded by Shandong Province.
